We all need a family doctor or a professional whenever we have any physical complaints. It's not that you need them everyday or every time, however when things do get difficult to handle by oneself we approach a doctor or someone who can understand what the issue is. Simply put Counseling is the process where you approach and talk to a professional psychologist when you find it difficult to cope with your own or others emotions and behaviour patterns. Counselling to me is a process that aids the metamorphosis of your consciousness into a more aware state of being. It helps you to find that balance and peace when your mind is at war. However it has to be something that YOU WANT, a willingness to bring about a change is very important from the client's side.
I have always been curious about human behaviour and was comfortable with the idea of introspection. As a child would daydream a lot about the possible outcomes of conversations. Later on once i started to understand myself i also realized i am an empath. It also happened that the path chose me, because every step i took towards expanding my professional horizons it seemed to fulfill my sense of purpose.
My style of therapy is customized to the individual. Attempts are made for the individual to develop their own insights when various perspectives are brought forth during the session. It is based on the principles of Empathy, Non Judgment , Curiosity , Openness to Experience and Ethical Practices of Counseling.
I strongly advocate for Womens and Childrens rights, however i also believe in the movement HeforShe, where men do play an important role in the upliftment of society as well. I believe in bridging the vulnerability of dependence and the courage of independence to form an alliance between our actions and our words. Itís only then that as a society we would be able to build synchronicity that would be beneficial to our surroundings and environment.
